The annual Willow Wheelers 100 Mile Charity Cycle takes place on the Sunday of the May Bank Holiday weekend — May 3rd.

It’s a great day out, well organised and all for a very good cause. The cycle starts and finishes at Blackrock College. It is easy-paced, everyone stays together as a group, and you can do as much or as little of the full route as suits you.
All funds raised go directly to the many charitable projects supported by the club, primarily in Africa but also in other countries, across education, health and water.
Anyone interested in joining this year should sign up via the Willow Wheelers website.
I’d also like to use the opportunity to encourage new members to get involved – either current parents of boys in the school, alumni or past parents.
For anyone with boys in Blackrock College, especially from 2nd to 5th year, Willow Wheelers is a great way for both students and parents to get into cycling. There are regular Sunday spins, good company, and a trip away each year which is always enjoyed by both the boys and the parents.
New riders, with or without boys in the school, are very welcome, whether experienced cyclists or just interested in giving it a go.
The easiest thing is to sign up via the website and the relevant section will respond.
Please feel free to share with anyone in the Blackrock College or Willow Park alumni community who might be interested.
