Kickstart your day with the entire Blackrock College community as we walk from the College to Seapoint and back on Saturday, 3 October.

Starting at 6am from the College Reception, this is a unique opportunity for past and present students, staff, parents, the Blackrock College Union, Blackrock College RFC and Blackrock College AFC to come together for a peaceful and uplifting morning.

Whether you are joining for your wellbeing, a bit of exercise, the chance to catch up with old friends or simply some great company, this walk is for everyone. Friends and families are very welcome to join us too.

The Sunrise Walk is also one of a number of initiatives being developed by the Blackrock College Union to support mental health and wellbeing across the wider Blackrock community. From our Wellbeing Talks and Rock in the Road, which helps connect past pupils with support when they need it, to the ongoing work of the Union’s Benevolent Fund, the Union is continuing to develop practical ways to support people, strengthen connections and encourage a culture where looking after our own wellbeing, and that of others, is part of Blackrock life.

There is something fitting about starting the day this way. Blackrock has always been about connection, friendship and community, and the Sunrise Walk is an opportunity to step away from the usual routine, meet up with old friends, make new connections and enjoy some time together.

You don't need to be a serious walker and you don't need to be part of any particular Blackrock group. Past pupils, current students, parents, staff, club members, friends and families are all very welcome.

So set the alarm, grab a jacket and join us for a walk, a chat and, hopefully, a beautiful sunrise.
