It is with great sadness that the Blackrock College Union learned of the passing of David Gillett (Class of 1987).
David was a much-valued member of the Blackrock community and served with distinction as the 115th President of the Union from 2023 to 2024. His commitment to the Union and to the wider Blackrock community will be remembered with great affection.
David will be deeply missed by his beloved wife and best friend Fiona, his sons James and Andrew, his mother Sinead and by all his friends. We extend our warmest thoughts and heartfelt condolences to Fiona, James, Andrew and the entire Gillett family at this very sad time.
We hope that the many happy memories of David, and the lasting impression he made on those who knew and loved him, will bring some comfort to his family in the days ahead.
May David rest in peace.
