There was an excellent turnout of Union members for our President’s Prize outing on Tuesday, 9th September, in Elm Park Golf Club.
On what proved to be a very wet and testing day for golf, our Rock Union golfers showed great resilience, adapting impressively to the tough conditions.
Despite the weather, there was superb scoring, with just a single shot separating first and second place. Simon O’Flaherty edged out Tony Connolly with 42 Stableford points to claim the title.
At the post-golf BBQ and prize giving, our recently elected Union President, Mark Rogan, in his first event as President, thanked all players who braved the wind and rain to complete their rounds. He also expressed his appreciation to the Union Golf Committee and to Clodagh, our Union Administrator, for their work in organising and running the outing.
