The Union was saddened to learn of the loss of Paul McGuire (Class of 1982)

McGuire Paul Dominic, San Jose, California, late of Bray, County Wicklow, 30th November 2021, peacefully surrounded by his loving family at Stanford University Hospital after a courageous battle with cancer. Beloved husband of Maria and loving father to his children Daniella, Dominic, and Sean. Predeceased by his father and mother, Daniel and Mary Rose McGuire of Bray, County Wicklow, Ireland.

Paul was compassionate, caring, and always looking out for others. He enjoyed his annual trip to Nicaragua, where he worked shoulder-to-shoulder with villagers in Chinandega, building a new school and bringing opportunity to rural families. Closer to home, Paul will be forever loved by his wife, Maria Katami McGuire, three children: Daniella, Dominic, and Sean; eleven siblings Martin, Kathleen, Daniel, Rosaleen, Gerard, Kevin, Aidan, Vivian, Cyril, John and Father Brendan; his 6 sisters-in-law and 2 brothers-in-law; 25 nieces and nephews; 15 great-nieces and nephews; extended family and friends.
