John grew up in Blackrock and lived most of his life there. He passed away on Friday, 10th September at the age of 86 in the tender care of the staff of St Joseph’s, Shankill surrounded by his loving family including sons Michael (1988), Johnny (1989) and Mark (1994). John’s brother Jim (1952) also attended the college and his grandson’s Calum (2020) and Eoghan (3rd year).
Beloved husband of Nuala (née Boyd), much loved father of Michael, Johnny and Mark and brother to the late Breda Clarke, Helen Cahill and Marie Mullen. Adored grandfather to Caoimhe, Cian, Calum, Conor, Klara, Eoghan, Jessica, Seve, Darcy and Hayley. Sadly missed by his brother Jim, sister-in-law Joan O'Cleirigh, daughters-in-law Denise and Suzy, nieces, nephews, extended family, neighbours and his many friends including members of Elm Park Golf Club.
