The Union Matchplay will be returning this year with a revised format:
Limited to 16 players
Matchplay Entry Fee: €20
Matches will start at Easter, spread over a longer period to avoid walk-overs. No walk-overs allowed.
The tournament will feature fewer rounds, giving players time to complete their matches
Open to all Union golfers who wish to participate
Deadline to enter: 17th March 2026
Players must commit to playing their first-round match by Sunday, 19th April 2026
This new format aims to make the Matchplay more enjoyable, competitive, and accessible to all golfers while maintaining the fun and social elements that the Union Golf Society values.
