The 2026 Blackrock College Union UK Lunch will take place on Friday 20th February at Smith & Wollensky, Covent Garden.

We will be honouring the 2026 Blackrock College Union UK Personality of the Year Ryan Tubridy (Class of 1991).

Ryan is one of Ireland’s most prominent broadcasters. He is currently developing a new show for talkSPORT and will present The Late Show for Times Radio. He recently presented The Ryan Tubridy Show on Virgin Radio and Q102.

Ryan began his broadcasting career with RTE and over a period covering more than 20 years, presented some of the biggest and most successful shows on Irish television and radio including The Late Late Show (RTE One), Tubridy Tonight (RTE One), The Tubridy Show (RTE Radio 1) and The Full Irish (2FM). He hosted the Rose of Tralee on two occasions. He is also the author of JFK in Ireland: Four Days That Changed a President.

His first foray into presenting was at the 1989 Leman Concert, when he co-hosted the event at the National Concert Hall as a Fourth Year pupil!
