Networking and Career Advice Forum
Seizing The Opportunities of the Downturn and How to Launch a New Career in 2010 Despite the Economy The Blackrock College Union are in the process of developing a programme of events throughout 2010 that intend to provide sources of information, advice and direction to any past pupils of the college that are actively engaged in a job search, making a career transition or in need of general career advice. The evenings are planned to start with a short series of key note speakers on the subjects like “Seizing The Opportunities of the Downturn & How to Launch a New Career in 2010 Despite the Economy”. These talks will be followed by brief Q&A sessions. After this there will be ample opportunity for those attending to speak confidentially with a number of mentors and advisor's in one to one sessions about how you can improve your circumstances and be successful in the future. If you are considering a change in career, facing redundancy or simply wishing to review your career objectives then the workshop forum will give you access to the advice and guidance that you need. The first event will take place in the Stillorgan Park Hotel on Wednesday 27th January, 2010, from 7:30pm till 10:00pm To register your interest, or if you know a past pupil that may benefit from the Networking and Career Advice Forum, please contact the event organiser in full confidence; Karl Rigney (Class of 1987) or contact the union directly on 353 1 278 4310 for further information.
