Business Lunch

The business lunch has now established itself very comfortably as a pre-Christmas event and was held on Friday 28th December. Despite these recessionary times the lunch attracted a very good attendance of over 130 people to Elm Park Golf Club.

Our guest speaker, the celebrity solicitor Gerald Kean, was a controversial choice for some but he didn’t disappoint. His presentation style and the stories he told had the audience captured from the outset and engaged for over forty minutes – he was witty, incisive and often hilarious and we are indebted as a union to him for giving up his time to spend it with us. The choice of guest speakers from outside the ‘Rock “family” has been a great success in recent years and we intend to build on this in the future.

Our thanks as always to the President, Eugene Harrington, for his time and his very apt words on the occasion. Elm Park as always provided a good venue and excellent service. If you missed it, make sure you attend this year, it’s a great ‘Rock day.
